My art expresses an immediate response to a situation; a visual prayer. |

Like the Jonah’s which fill much of her artwork,
Cindy has often tried to run from the artistic call.
As a young student she decided to join the "real" world
. . . instead of pursuing her art.
Later, as a mother, she designed and marketed children’s toys.
This eventually led her back to her first true love,
which continues to be painting.
After returning to college to study art in the eighties,
she eventually settled in London.
During that time she focussed on teaching children
while encouraging them to work on large collaborative art pieces.
After a year in Alberta, she and her husband have settled in Paisley
Ontario, where the small village atmosphere allows for more time
to focus on her paintings. She continues to work with
children at the Southampton Art School
and through private and group lessons.
Working mainly in acrylic, she explores personal
and social issues through a Christian perspective
It’s spiritual nature cannot be ignored,
as her strong faith is at the root of each image.
Commissions are welcomed.
